RIVIERA FIORITA is an extraordinary event that takes place every year on the second Sunday of September along the Riviera del Brenta.

It is a historical re-enactment along the river with a water procession, vintage boats and sailors in splendid costumes. The parade is held in memory of the meeting in 1574 between Henry III of Valois, the future King of France, and the Doge of Venice Alvise I Mocenigo who welcomed his guest in Mira's residence, Villa Contarini dei Leoni, and organized a party for the occasion.

For residents and tourists coming from every part of Italy and the world it is tradition TO FOLLOW THE EVENT BY BICYCLE starting from the town of Stra where the figures go up on vintage boats to Malcontenta where the procession traditionally ends crossing the rich Brenta Riviera for the occasion of dedicated events.
